Telescope: Astro-Physics 160 EDF | Description: SH-284 Sharpless 284, Do25, Do 23 in Monoceros This large object is often overlooked because of SH2-275, also known as the Rosette Nebula. It has nice structure with a couple of darker areas that show well. The open star cluster known as Dolidze 25 (Do25) sits mostly in the middle of the nebula. One possible name for this object is The Little Rosette Nebula. |
